The Children and Youth Folk Dance Group LETNIČKA ("The Sumerflower") was established
in 1992. Today group has 130 members from the age of 6 to 19.
Its creative work is focused on a scenic adaptation of folklore from diferent Slovak
regions - mainly from the region of Spiš and Liptov.
The repertoire includes a great number of thematic units, diferent kinds of choreography,
folk songs and folk music shows.
The Group has been one of the founders of The European Folk Culture Organization (EFCO) in 1998. During its existence LETNIČKA has presented own shows with a great success on Slovak
stages, on Slovak TV and abroad - in Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Lithuania,
Italy, France, Germany, Sweden and Ireland.
